Shop Hand

Job Description:

We are looking for a shop hand who would be responsible for keeping the shop clean, equipment in well maintained and working order. They should someone who is honest, trustworthy and able to observe when things need to be done before being told. This is a part-time position that would be a maximum of 20 hours a week. It will be required to keep records for repairs and maintenance done to shop equipment and recommendations. Other responsibilities may include inventory management and parts pick-up.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect and diagnose concerns with shop equipment

• Keep shop clean, trash removal, floors swept and washed, floor drains clean and more

• Maintain equipment and shop tools

• Able to learn computer system and inventory management

• Drive company vehicle for parts pick-up

• Maintain accurate inventory

Requirements:

• Valid drivers license

• Able to work consistent hours weekly

• Able to communicate equipment needs/repairs

• Knowledge of how to repair and maintain equipment

• Keep logs for equipment maintenance and repairs 

• Good eye-hand coordination 

• Ability to lift 80lbs regularly
